It's the 6th January 2016, a door has opened on another year full of new challenges and opportunities. Like most people we've started to create our goals and resolutions for the year ahead, hoping we can make them last more than a month or a few weeks.

I've just returned from a well needed break in Northern Ireland with my boyfriend and his friends and family for the New Year. I feel refreshed, inspired and motivated for the year ahead, in particularly with this blog. However I miss the consumption of soda bread and Tayto crisps to say the least! (You don't know what us English folk are missing!)

2015 was a great year in terms of developing my blog content and figuring out where I stood within the mahoosive blogging community. Buying a camera in late 2015 allowed me to see my blog from a whole different perspective in terms of aesthetic and I'm enjoying learning about my own individual style through imagery and how that connects to the reader.

I have really enjoyed the content of which I have written over the past 12 months, it reflects my personality and I can assure you that will continue in 2016. As the creator it's vital for me to write content I know I'd enjoy reading myself. It is so difficult to not allow the pressure of what I should write to fit in the blogging community, permission to drive my blog. I have a real passion for Dance and its died down a lot in this blog during 2015, probably due to creating WHYDance? which was created in August, a separate platform to discuss and engage dance with young people. However time limits create a sense of pressure and expectation so I've decided to close that project and fully integrate it into this blog. Think of it like Beauty bloggers only I'm sharing my passion through writing on is blog and have some really great people who'd like to share that with you too!

I'm surprised with how the numbers of my social media platforms have rocketed over the last few months, clearly my musings and moanings are doing some good in the world. Numbers shouldn't be a 'goal' but I suppose they kinda are at the same time. Who doesn't do a secret punch in the air when they hit a new milestone? *we all do!* So here's a few of the milestones i'd like to reach this year..

Twitter : 5,000
Facebook : 250
Instagram : 2,500
Bloglovin' : 1,000
Youtube : 60

I feel like they're manageable and idealistic goals for myself to reach over the next 12 months.

I would love the opportunity to travel and adventure more without allowing time restrictions and anxiety restrict me from experiencing great things. I've already challenged my fear of flying by undertaking the travel to Northern Ireland over the Christmas break so I'm ready to see what else I can do.

I'm also very excited to continue collaborating with fellow bloggers and companies/brands/charities over the upcoming weeks. We all share a passion for writing and reaching audiences with our ideas and thoughts, I want to ensure we're all able to do this together. I've started advertising 5 bloggers a month on this blog, I think you'll love their work just as much as I do and I make it my mission to ensure the advertisers are genuine reads that I enjoy myself. I just wouldn't put stuff on here that I wouldn't read and enjoy myself. I hope you'll enjoy reading their posts just as much as I do.

I look forward to sharing my 2016 with you.

thanks for reading,
