*Learning something new with Flashsticks

One of my many life goals is to learn a new language. I've always wanted to relearn French, I absolutely loved it at high school but never pursued it any further and it's something I have always wanted to do as I've grown up. So when Flashsticks offered me the opportunity to try out their French beginner pack I knew I wanted to give it a go.

Flashsticks are an easy and very interactive source for learning that new language. Launched in 2013 with the French beginner pack, the founder Richard needed a quicker way of learning a language and he knew that writing on post it notes around helped him be successful in achieving that. Since then Flashsticks has grew into schools and being stocked in major stores like Tesco and WHSmith and also the launch of a app too! It now hosts a range of 6 different languages, including British Sign Language which is something I am keen to learn over the summer to help my new job as a Teaching Assistant. Also it's great to have languages on your CV too may I just add!

I thought that the products were brilliant, I'm a particular fan of their app which I have on my phone and like to scan objects on a daily basis now, it's also free! It's a really ease to use app which allows you to scan objects and get their definition in a whole host of languages at the touch of a finger, very handy if you go on holiday around Europe during the summer. I'm definitely planning to use it when we go away in the summer as I am sure it'll come in handy for all of those language barriers of ordering food etc that so many of us deal with when going on holiday in a different country. The app also helps you use the post it notes to form sentences, development at it's best!

The post it notes are fun and can be put all over the relevant objects over your house to help you remember the words well. They come in a variety of 3 colours coding them towards your feminine and masculine nouns to your verbs and nouns etc. This is very good for your learning head, stopping any confusion too! I found it really fun sticking them around my house and exploring all of the different words in a very accessible and enjoyable way.

The beginner pack that I was provided with was really easy to learn with and I felt like I was improving on my French without ripping my hair out watching YouTube videos to help me! I would definitely go and give them a go and at the majority price of £4.99 for a pack containing 100 unique words you cannot go wrong!
