Intu Derby A/W 2016 Event.

The Autumn season is well and truly underway with the Advent Calendars and Christmas stock filling the shelves, I am sure I am not the only person already on the countdown to Christmas.

Autumn fashion is my ultimate favourite out of the whole year so when Intu Derby invited me along with some other local bloggers to celebrate the new season I knew I had to go!

Despite a few issues with the combination of paper bags + zero coat + British weather = to being drenched head to toe I had the most fabulous event with Intu Derby recently that's got me extremely excited for the upcoming season. It's also got my debit card worrying for it's safety for the next couple of months.

Intu Derby had created a VIP area for us bloggers for this event where we could enjoy a drink from Patisserie Valerie and a cake from BB's (they were incredible and a place I will definitely be visiting soon!) before watching the dancers/models struct their stuff for us in a small catwalk area within the centre. They showed us what they had to offer within the shopping centre to fill your wardrobes this season and it definitely was pretty dangerous because I wanted it all.

Little did I know that an old friend, Austyn Farrell would be strutting his stuff as one of the model dancers for this event and I was really proud in seeing how far a friend has come within his professional career.

The catwalk contained all the must haves for this new season, it managed to balance out your casual days with those Christmas party outfits we'll all be hunting down before we know it. There was a great added element of sparkle that we all love about the Christmas season. I've already got my eye on a few pieces that will definitely be making their way into our wardrobe this season. I always like the more red/purple tones during this season and I always have fun layering up my outfits so I can't wait to get my hands on some of the pieces that I saw.

Intu Derby didn't leave anything unturned with a beauty pod on the upper level to give you a free little makeover with all of the hottest make up trends of Autumn and Winter. Sadly the line was too long for us to take full advantage of this but I saw a few bloggers getting involved! There was also a green screen available to capture that perfect 'throwing the leaves' Autumn snap with your friends and we definitely weren't swayed that you couldn't fit 8 bloggers into the same frame. We managed to do a pretty good job of it.

It was such a fun event and the staff at Intu Derby really ensured that we were all well refreshed and relaxed during our time with us. I enjoyed having the opportunity to see a sneak preview of the trends to come.

Our goody bags from the stores around the Intu were pretty awesome too with stores TigerPaperchaseThe Perfume CompanyBoots and many more gifting us with lots of stuff which I will definitely be using in a lot of Instagram snaps in the upcoming weeks! I really love when other brands get involved with such an exciting event and we were so spoilt with what we were gifted.

Myself and the girls also enjoyed a little trip into the local Lush store within the Intu Derby to check out their latest Halloween and Christmas collection (I managed to spend the minimum which surprised me!) as well as a trip to Primark to check out some of their Autumn clothes. I have done a small little haul which will be going on my YouTube channel very soon!

We also enjoyed a nice Mexican lunch at Intu Derby's MexiCO which is my favourite place for food within the Intu and a place I recommend to everyone!

Thanks to the Intu Derby and their team for inviting me and the other bloggers to their A/W event, I had an awesome time and feel more Autumnal than ever!

thanks for reading,

  3. Looks and sounds like a lovely event to attend, sweetie. Plus, the fact that it was so well organised makes the experience extra special. Would be lying if I said the treats don't sound great too :)

  4. Oh my goodness, there's someone wearing RVCA in the show?! So nice to see brands I love/that are different in things like this as opposed to just all dressy brands.
It sounds like you had such a great time and made a proper day out of it!!

    xo
