The smell of new books is without a doubt one of my favourite smells, and having so many books to read brings me huge comfort, but also a bit of stress because I just never seem to get through my reading list. I love reading and sharing my thoughts with like minded individuals who enjoy books too. I have been slacking with my monthly reading piles, I just haven't had the motivation I once had at the start of the year to grab my book and read. I am trying though and when I was asked by the guys at Come Round whether I'd be interested in the #MKBparty campaign I knew it was right up my street.

Come Round have teamed up with Pan Macmillan and My Kinda Book to send me a bespoke party pack filled with props and other goodies in order for me to hose the perfect night in. MyKindaBook is the perfect little hub for people to discover upcoming YA reads, amazing authors, and gain access to exclusive content only available at MKB.

Within my pack was the perfect essentials for a great Book Club party to be held and has definitely inspired me to get my friends together for one this Winter. So what do you need to kick start this Book Club Party?

First things first, you need to get a date in your diary and make sure you decide on a good venue to have this party. If not your house, because space and location can be an issue why not your favourite coffee shop. There's so many little coffee shops around that would be perfect for a little Book Club party and with hot drinks and nibbles it's even better.

If you're having this Book Club in your house then it's important to set the mood correctly, so find a cosy room which has some comfortable seating and blankets at the ready. Then it's all about the candles, the Vanilla one I was sent as part of my pack is the perfect perfume companion. It's such a sweet and refreshing sent that would be the perfect aroma for the evening.

Lay your table with snacks, whether this is a pizza (because pizza is good for any occasion) or even some sweets you must have snacks! After the snacks, make some hot chocolates! The Galaxy Hot Chocolates gifted to me in my party pack are one of my favourites and will be enjoyed by everyone. There's nothing like a hot chocolate when you're reading a good book too.

Now for the books, I was sent three YA books which I hadn't actually read before which in itself is very exciting. All of these books have such important underlying topic of relationships, whether that's with a significant other or your family.

The pack also included some ideas for discussion because we all know we read a book and instantly want to talk to somebody about it, which is why the little notebooks from the pack are really practical for jotting down thoughts of your own ideas for discussion ahead of your book club!

I really can't wait to get my fellow bookworms round for a Book Club Party and was given some fab inspiration from this collaboration! Now to grab a hot chocolate and get reading my books..

There's a great book club available on Twitter, check out #GGBookClub to keep in the loop!

thanks for reading,
