#Snizl4Notts, Nottingham

Snizl is an exciting new app that allows you to be notified of great offers available in your area right at your fingertips, so if you're unsure on where to head for your pre cinema dinner or just looking for somewhere new to hang out then this is an app you need to get your hands on.

Snizl has recently launched it's app to the independent retailers of Nottingham, in a city that has such a buzz about it, this app is a great new asset to it that will mean more people will be able to have full advantage of their businesses. I was invited along with some more local bloggers to visit 4 of the independent businesses, of which none of them I had previously visited, who were jumping at the opportunity to get involved with this app. Having this event on Galentine's Day I decided to bring along with my good friend Kirstie as there's nothing better than an event with cocktails and food with your best friend.
Pudding Pantry.

First stop was Pudding Pantry, a small business on Trinity Square that combines both food and coffee that will be the perfect pit stop. It brings the taste of home baking in their products, on display there are a lot of options meaning there is something to suit everybody's individual sweet tooth. It has a comfortable, home like feel to it that makes you feel like your sitting in your own kitchen at home and the smells which fill your senses are so good and so fresh. They've really decorated and presented their venue well.

We were given a sample of their freak shake products, in particular the Salted Caramel Brownie one which was lovely and full of fresh cream. The actual product is around 3x bigger than this taster we tried, I must give it a try soon! We were also given a taste of their Carrot Cake which was perfectly soft and baked. This place would be great to take your laptop with you and get cracking with your blogging, like a top girl boss!

Ca Bella Boutique
Next up we headed to every girls heaven and visited CaBella, Nottingham's No1 Makeup Boutique located down the small alleyway of Bridlesmith Walk. Dressed up in all pink, rose gold, glitter and sparkle CaBella is the destination where every girl, woman & princess (like me) can sit back, relax and have a makeover, leaving you feel amazing when you walk out of the door.

It's a great venue for special occasions, so whether you have a prom, birthday, graduation, hen night, wedding or just a night out with the girls then this venue will make the whole getting ready experience less stressful. We were talked through an idea of the services and products that the team at CaBella use as part of their makeovers, giving us ideal tips to make the most of the products we have at home. I loved the vibe in this venue and would definitely give it a revisit in the future.

Weavers
Next up we took a visit to Weavers, a independent wine and spirit merchants. It's now under the direction of Alan Trease, the 4th generation of his family to be entrusted with the responsibility of the business. Weavers is one of the oldest independent businesses in Nottingham having been established in 1844. We were in the living room of a old property were we treated to a flavour of some of their wines, feeling very sophisticated and cosy within a space that held a lot of history in four walls.

We were also able to have a wonder down into their wine cellar were we could see for ourselves where their products are held and a lot of wines that are well dated too. This would be the perfect venue for you to enjoy some tasting of their best wines as well as socialising with your friends, I will be definitely looking ahead to organising one of these with some of my fellow wine lovers in the future.

400 Rabbits
Saving the best until last, our last stop of the evening was to 400 Rabbits, a tequila bar situated down Hurts Yard, in the heart of Nottingham City Centre. There is a real nostalgic feel to the venue with upstairs full of games to play, including foosball (which I'm not so good at after a few drinks!) and great throwback music playing in the background.

We sampled some of their best tequila, had a dance and got a real feel for a venue that definitely deserves a visit.

Thanks to Snizl for showcasing to us some of the best in independent business in Nottingham, and don't forget to check out their app. You can download it for FREE!

thanks for reading,

  1. Ahhhhh I loved this post and want to now try all of these places! Sounds like you had such a fun evening! :) Sadly I don't live in Nottingham to use the app, but I totally want to visit now as these places look incredible! That freakshake literally sounds like heaven on earth, and who doesn't love throwback tunes and alcohol!? ;) Haha! I love the idea of CaBella too!
