July and August have been the months where I've watched more movies than most, I suppose because I'm on a 6 week holiday off work for Summer is being well spent. I have watched a lot of films that hold nostalgic feels too, plus some days I've found myself on the sofa with snacks and totally immersed in a film which has been lovely to be honest. The past two months have flew by in a flash, I can't believe how quick Summer seems to be slipping away (I go back to work next week, no no no!) but I'm definitely ready for Autumn to arrive! Let's crack on talking about the movies I've watched this month.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
I love this film, end of. We are first introduced to Dobby the House Elf and it's a connection like no other, love that little cute elf! However, the spiders in this film aren't cool whatsoever.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)
The first Harry Potter film, I remember watching this film for the first time growing up SO WELL. Some of my favourite quotes of the entire series are in this film alone, also Voldemort is so creepy in this!
High School Musical 2 (2007)
Yes I did watch High School Musical 2 at the age of 26 because it rocks. I can't help but sing along to the HSM films, I forgot how much I used to love them! 'Gotta Go My Own Way' is a tuneeee!
Iron Man (2008)
I do love a good Marvel film so decided to watch the first instalment of the Iron Man series. It's not my favourite film from the Marvel empire but still a good film to watch nonetheless.
IT (1991)
I'm buzzing to watch the new version of Stephen King's IT soon, I'm really intrigued by it so my mum advised to sit and watch the original, warning me it was 'pretty scary'. I didn't find it that scary but can understand why back then it was, the film was kind of boring if anything. I can't wait to see what the newest film version is like for sure!
Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
I forgot how much I love watching Narnia films until I found myself grabbing this out of my DVD cupboard. The Narnia Chronicles were some of my favourite books to read growing up so reliving these through the films is a lot of fun! Also there's something about this film in particular that makes me feel all cosy!

The 5th Wave (2016)

A book to film adaption that I wasn't too sure whether I'd get into considering I hadn't read the books. Enjoyed the concept and build up of the film more than I expected to. Really good casting too!
The Breakfast Club (1985)
I love 80s films and The Breakfast Club is one of my favourites! I was so happy when I found out they had put the film on Netflix so I definitely sat and watched it for god knows what 'th' time I have watched it before.
The Circle (2017)
A Netflix original that had a lot of potential with a great reception from it's book, a good casting and context. Unfortunately I couldn't grasp an interest into the film and was disappointed by it.
The Last Witch Hunter (2015)
I watched this film during the last week of school before the holidays, I found it such an enjoyable watch and not what I had expected from the small blurb provided on Netflix. It's quite full on at some moments, slightly even ridiculous but an easy film to follow!

What films have you been enjoying recently?
thanks for reading,
