I'm not a beauty blogger. I can imagine that most of my audience are going to be surprised that I've put together a beauty styled post, am I ok? I may not know all of the specific terms that beauty bloggers do, therefore don't expect me to come across as an expert. I won't be able to tell the difference between good and bad products well but I know there's things I enjoy and some that I don't. During this year I have tried to pay more attention to the products I use and have enjoyed, it's good fun to chat amongst my friends about the products I'm really loving, but probably not so with my man who has little knowledge of products. I wanted to share those products with you.

I've pulled together the products I have enjoyed the most during the year so far to tell you why I like them; from perfumes to the makeup products.

Up first are perfumes, I've been on the hunt for scents that are on the borderline of Jo Malone but don't come with the same price tag. I do love a good Jo Malone scent but wanted to discover whether there were affordable products out there that could act as a good alternative.

Primark have recently brought out their Private Collection, a range of different products including perfumes, candles and diffuser sticks for your bedroom too. The scents are said to be unisex but it's all in your individual preference. The two 100ml bottles that I chose from the collection; Mandarin & Basil and Jasmine & Honey are affordable at £8 each and are some of the freshest scents I've tried. Given, the scent doesn't last all day but I can still smell it when I get home from work at the end of the day. The Mandarin scent is more obvious to me in one whilst the Jasmine holds the stronger not in the other perfume. Their sizes mean they will also last pretty long, therefore you won't feel guilty when you get to the bottom of your bottle!

The last of the perfumes is the Honeysuckle scent from The Library of Fragrance. I've always wanted to try some of their scents but have always been put off by their price tag in Boots. I found this one in the fragrance section of TK Maxx recently, in all places! It was at the price of £4.99 so I was quick to pick one up for myself and will definitely making a visit to the shop on my next pay day to see whether I can find more. I can't describe the scent notes for this specific one but it's quite a sweet scent, probably more so than I had expected.

I have been enjoying a lot of makeup products so far in 2017, it seems that whenever I watch a YouTube video for drugstore make up I more than often buy them when a product of mine has run out. However, on the same note I have been far better in using all of my product(s) before purchasing new ones, therefore things aren't going to waste. This has resulted in getting the most out of each individual product.

I don't know anyone who doesn't rave about Urban Decay Cosmetics and if I'm honest it's the price tag that puts me off from buying it. I'm quite lucky in that both of my Naked Palettes* products have been gifted to me by PR's. I've had the Naked 2* palette since last summer, it's still one of my favourites with it's warm tones, perfect as we go into Autumn. I love the Smog and Half Baked shade especially. The Naked Heat* palette is a new one to the collection and I absolutely love it. It's received a mixed bag of reviews, but I definitely think it's down to how you use the shades. I have loved combining these shades with some from the Naked 2 palette to create some great looks as we head into Autumn. Scorched and Dirty Talk are two of my favourites.

A firm favourite with most people, blogger or not, including myself is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. It gives great coverage, it's an affordable product and does the job on a daily basis when I have no time to throw on a lot of make up but need to cover up some blemishes. I've brought it again and again for years, it's a great concealer!

L'Oreal definitely do some of my favourite mascaras and I've been looking for an alternative to the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes that I've been raving for a considerable time. I purchased the L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara recently and think it's been fab for my eyelashes. I have naturally long lashes so I always just look for a product that will do my eyelashes justice without becoming clumpy and uncomfortable, it's a winner!

I have a daily battle with creating my eyebrows so that they look great on a daily basis, I've fallen in and out of love with products in the past. I recently brought the L'Oreal Paris Paris Brow Pomade because it was a new release and I was intrigued. Given it didn't have the shade I would have liked to have tried, I opted for the Brunette shade which terrified me! I thought it'd be ridiculously dark and would look ridiculous, actually it's been the opposite! I think it's a great product, it can go slightly crap and crumble as you apply it so it requires time to get the best out of it. I do love it though!

Finally, I've been on the lookout for a highlighter product and since using the L'Oreal True Match Highlight I've been LOVING it. It's so good, really does the job, especially if I'm feeling a bit meh in the morning and need to brighten up my face for work, it's a gem!

In terms of hair products I struggle to find the best of hair products for my hair. Some products have been awful and leave my scalp peeling and my hair feeling the worse. However two products have transformed that and I'm so glad I've finally found the hair products I can use that I feel are the best for my haircare. The TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo is so friggin' good! I've used it for the last 4 months, it's left my hair feeling so soft and nourished which has been the one thing my hair hasn't felt before. Having finished my latest batch of the product I decided to give the Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo and Conditioner a go, obviously in the Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter scent. It leaves your hair smelling good, nourished and soft. If you haven't found the right products yet then give it a good go!

If you've made it this far, well done! Finally it's the Skincare products turn. Now, I'll be honest I don't have a specific routine that I stick to and I don't know whether I should or not either. I don't have a particular problem with spots, I tend to get the monthly arrival of a hormone spot then a couple on my forehead in the summer (sweat problems urgh). This doesn't mean that I don't enjoy using some products from time to time, especially when at the end of the week I enjoy a good pamper before the new week begins.

First up is some goodies from Simple. I love Simple skincare, it's affordable, not harsh on the skin and just an all over great brand for skin products. I am a mahoosive fan of the Garnier Micellar Water and have been since it first came out. I wanted to branch out and see whether any other micellar water products were as good. I saw the Simple Micellar Cleansing Water in Boots and it's fab! Apart from the product coming out quick which means you probably will get more product on your cotton wool than you need, I love this product. It's kind on the skin, does the job and was so affordable. Their Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On for tired eyes has been a saviour for when I'm feeling shattered in the morning and want to look more awake than I probably am.

The L'Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask is perfect for those pamper evenings, really clears out my skin and leaves it feeling smooth and clean afterwards, dreamy!

Palmers have some great, affordable skincare products which smell amazing with their cocoa butter formula. Their Purifying Enzyme Mask* and Ultra Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil* are some of the best skincare products I have got my hands on. I've been reaching for the Enzyme Mask on a weekly basis, more for a quick pamper in the evenings and the Cleansing Oil is just something I like to use as often as possible. I will definitely be repurchasing these one their done.

When I've been heading off to a couple of getaways to hotels, I've been looking for the perfect travel companions so that I don't lose a routine with skincare. Garnier have some of my favourite products in their range but I was definitely intrigued by their Skin Active, Pure Active range. The two particular products I enjoy from their range are the Micellar Water* and the Pure Active 3in1*. The Micellar Water gets off all the make up and dirt from the day, where as the Pure Active 3 in 1 does the big job of exfoliating, unclogging pores and mask to even skin tone. I've felt a real difference in the look and feel of my skin since using them, they're also great travel sizes if you are going on a trip. Their new formula is such a winner and I can't wait to get more use out of the product, it'll definitely be making a return to my bathroom once they're done.

What have been your favourite products this year so far?
