Leicester Marriott Hotel and BMW i3

Myself and my partner were kindly invited by the team at the Leicester Marriott Hotel to come along to experience their hotel and to also test drive an electric car, the BMW i3 (more on that later!) last weekend, perfect timing as we were celebrating our first year together as a couple the same weekend too. As somebody who doesn't possess a driving licence it was the perfect opportunity to get my partner involved with a blogging opportunity I knew he would run for.

10 Things I Love About Autumn

We all know Autumn has well and truly arrived when Starbucks announcing their re-release of their pumpkin lattes, the leaves falling to the ground and the days start becoming shorter.

Interview with Holly Van Geffen

Always Have Hope is the tagline of Holly Van Geffen's little blogspace on the internet. Little would you know by reading her Twitter updates and her selfies that she was somebody who underwent a double lung transplant in February this year. Holly has well and truly grabbed life in both hands since undergoing the operation and now is recovering remarkably well 7 months on! Holly has shared her transplant story pre and post through online journals such as her blog and YouTube channel as well as through the media including a documentary heading to Channel5 in the near future in hoping she can share her story and encourage others to become organ donors in the UK. I hope you'll enjoy reading her small interview out and watch to check out some of her videos and stuff, also check her out when the documentary is released!

Interview with Andrew Ward.

Whilst we can sit and raise awareness of Organ Donation one of the vital things I wished to be included this week was what was life like for those currently on the waiting list for a transplant? I think it's important that we don't ignore these individuals, these are the people living thei…

Interview with Kirstie Tancock

Welcome to the fourth day of the National Transplant Week instalments, I hope this week is providing you with a lot of important information and insight into the importance of becoming an organ donor in the UK. Kirstie Tancock lives her life like any other 24 year old, she has a husband, a dog, a house, career ambitions and dreams. Little would you know that Kirstie has undertaken two lungs transplants in her life so far, recently celebrating 2 years since having her second transplant. Kirstie Tancock now spends her life undertaking fitness pole training, doing public speaking and taking up body painting whilst also focusing on the life she spends with her friends and family. She recently worked for for the charity Live Life Give Life as a trustee, a charity which is of great importance to her and enables her to be apart of the encouragement in talking about organ donation. Kirstie's story and determination shines through her blog Kirstie-2ndchanceatlife as well as taking part in a short documentary on BBCThree, Love on the Transplant List (which is available through YouTube for you to watch). I'm really glad she has agreed to be apart of this week's instalment and hopefully enable more conversation to take place surrounding Organ Donation in the UK.

Interview with Stacie Pridden.

Welcome to the second instalment in my week long feature for National Transplant Week. I thought it would be great to talk to those who have undertaken the experience of having a transplant and what better person to talk to than fellow blogger herself, Stacie Pridden. I found Stacie's blog 'Life Is Worth The Fight' back when I used to sit and read Louise's blog Sprinkle of Glitter religiously! I was instantly drawn to her optimistic attitude and fight to raise her condition/transplant journey. I knew in an instant that when I decided to do this week long instalment of blog posts that Stacie would be somebody I would like to feature, So I am over the moon she agreed to do a interview for me!
