Middletons Steakhouse and Grill, Leicester.

2 St Martins, Leicester LE1 5DB, UK

Enjoying a good steak dinner for a date night is one of me and Jordan's go to and in recent months we've took to perfecting how to cook a steak for ourselves, instead of heading out to a restaurant.

However, there's a new kid on the block that is sure to be the place we'll be heading to for our next date nights. Let's talk about Leicester's new Middletons Steakhouse and Grill.

Middletons has only just opened taking the place of the former NatWest Bank building on St Martin's in Leicester. In an area of the town centre that is bursting at the rim with restaurants, bars and coffee shops, Middleton is slotting into place perfectly within this area. This is the sixth and biggest steakhouse that Middleton has to date to it's brand so that in itself has a lot to live for.

There's a really stunning vibe and atmosphere to this place, with a really polished finish from the interior and design. When you walk into the restaurant in the evening there's a nice hum in the voices of the people talking during their dining experience and the sound of the chefs in the kitchen making the food, it sits together perfectly and the smell of food will make you hungry in an instant.

The menu comes with a great mix of prime cut grills, burgers, fresh fish and homemade desserts making it a difficult decision on what you'll decide to eat. It caters for the stomachs of everyone and will be a great new restaurant for the people of Leicester to enjoy.

Middletons are also offering a lunch menu that is just as good (maybe even better) than some of the other branded restaurants we have come to know through the years. Their drink menu offerings a great selection of wines, mocktails and cocktails (I need to give their mojito my approval in the future) and their beer list does lack a bit of variety and local craft beers to bring it a local vibe that I think the people of Leicester would enjoy. Perfect settings and food for a working lunch or a break from your shopping trip, coming up at £10.95 for three courses, incredible. They've also got the traditional Sunday Roast covered so it'll definitely be a place worth heading to for your fix of a traditional meal.

I absolutely loved the taste of their food, it was well presented with good portion sizes and packed full of flavour. My Brie Wedges starter were a generous helping of cheese that any other cheese lover like myself would fully embrace and with a great crunch of the batter! Jordan's Fillet Steak cooked rare was soft to the palette and tasted delicious, it was the first time I had tried Fillet Steak and I did enjoy it probably more than my 10z Sirloin Steak dish. The generous helpings made it difficult to squeeze in a pudding but I will definitely be taking full advantage of their great Lunch offer in the near future and be giving them a go.

Disclaimer: I was invited to Middletons Steakhouse and Grill Restaurant in Leicester during their first week to try out their food in return for this post to be published. The photos and views are mine so it's not cool to take and edit it as your own. Thanks to the Middletons team in Leicester for a fantastic experience.
