#ItsBrumas Festive Launch, Bru Coffee and Gelato.

20-22 Granby St, City Centre, Leicester LE1 1DE, UK

This event is becoming a festive tradition for me and definitely one of my favourite events of the year and that's the Festive Menu launch at Bru Coffee and Gelato. It's no secret that Bru is one of my favourite places to go to in the Leicester City Centre, I pretty much spend some time in there every week.

Last years event was a blast and so when Chloe from Bru and I decided to come together to make the launch event even better than the last I knew a Christmas party feel would be the perfect remedy. With 10 lovely bloggers and myself in attendance, we got our Christmas jumpers on and #ItsBrumas was a night that got us all ready for Christmas!

We definitely got into the festive mood with the Christmas songs playing, a game of pass the parcel, a Christmas quiz and Secret Santa! I loved how much everyone got involved and all were pleased with what their Santa had brought for them. Everything felt so personalised to that person and some people had clearly enjoyed a good stalking session to get it right. My Secret Santa Jess brought me the perfect Lush gift set 'The Night Before Christmas' that I will definitely be saving for Christmas Eve and a ballet shoe tree ornament that I just can't wait to pop on my tree with my others.

Let's not forget that the importance of this event was to test out the products Bru will be launching from 14th November (get the date in your diary!) and boy aren't you guys in for some tasty treats this season.

The team at Bru decided to get things started with a selection of their hot drinks on the menu and nothing says Christmas like a Gingerbread Latte and a host of different Hot Chocolates! The Gingerbread Latte was a clear favourite amongst the other bloggers but I was so happy when they announced that they were bringing their Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate back! However, this year it was back with an added Cinnamon kick and it was definitely welcomed and the hot chocolate tasted better than ever before. This product will definitely me my go to festive warmer at Bru.

Now Bru are definitely experts at creating some gorgeous tasty treats and this year Bru is serving up products to suit everybody that walks through their doors.

One of my favourite desserts ever is something that contains lemon, especially when your already full to the brim of food it's probably the better option. Bru's Lemon Tart tastes airy, light and the perfect level of lemon-ness! I would definitely enjoy this with a small jug of pouring cream on the side or some ice cream. This product would also go well with a hot chocolate, it wouldn't then feel like your having a chocolate overload with a chocolate based product.

There was also on offer a Cherry and Amaretti CheesecakeBlack Forest Roulade which was just as soft and enjoyable as a traditional Yule Log and some Chocolate Fudge Bundt Cakes which would be incredible with a scoop of ice cream in the middle.

Saving the best product until last, the Ginger Nut Cheesecake. I cannot even describe to you how great these little cheesecakes are. This product was a perfect blend of rich and creamy and would definitely be washed down nicely with one of Bru's finest coffees!

Bru have exceeded my individual expectations of going above and beyond the products they created the year before and with so much variety on offer this Winter you will definitely find something for you. Thanks again to the team at Bru, especially Chloe who gave a lot of her time from setting up the table and creating all of the products on show at the festive launch to creating personalised placemats for us all.

Bru Coffee and Gelato is located on Granby Street, a 5 minute walk from the Leicester Train Station. It's the perfect location for a quick pitstop before catching your train, a place to chat with friends or get some work done and without a doubt a place to put up your feet after a long afternoon of Christmas shopping.

  1. All of Bru's Christmas stuff looks amazing, can't wait to try it all! It's right near work so I find myself popping in there at least once a week for lunch, I'm definitely going to grab a gingerbread latte and some of that gingernut cheesecake.... My stomach is now rumbling!
