Evening Escape at Eden Hall Spa, Nottinghamshire.

Taking a visit to Eden Hall Spa is the ideal place for true escape and pampering that is so needed any of the year really. It's so easy to get carried away with daily life, especially around late Autumn. I've been super busy recently and whilst I am grateful to be busy, I could hear the little voice in my head telling me it was time to slow down a little. I've been working two jobs, managing my blog and also trying to have "down time". Self-care is so important and the trip to Eden Hall Spa was welcomed with open arms.

I've never been to this spa, even though it's quite local to me so I was delighted to be invited along to experience their Evening Escape package and I took my friend Steph with me.

Eden Hall Spa is an award-winning day spa set in the heart of Nottinghamshire. Their ethos is they believe that well-being is enhanced through relaxation and enjoyment. A little pampering is good for the soul and every area at Eden is designed to meet this. Their Evening Escape is a perfect taster of what you can expect from Eden Hall Spa and you can enjoy 3 hours of pure relaxation and indulgence everybody needs. The Evening Escape takes place every Friday and for £45.00 per person, it's undoubtedly the best way to begin your weekend.

Having never been to the Spa before upon our arrival even its appearance is grand, what a gorgeous building it is! The staff kindly gave us a tour of their facilities. Having this tour put our mind at ease and gave us a great idea of what is on offer, it's quite a big spa in itself so you can easily get overwhelmed with everything it has to offer, especially when you only have 3 hours to squeeze it all in. There's also a chance to have a treatment on site and make use of their fantastic gym facilities. We managed to get a good grasp of what is on offer and an idea of what we wanted to experience whilst we were there.

Their changing facilities are fantastic and there is lots of room for you to get changed, showered and put your belongings safely away.

The Spa has access to 12 different Thermal Spa experiences as well as a swimming pool and outdoor hot tubs. The area is the perfect area to really focus on your calm and practise some all-important mindfulness in a practical way. These experiences are listed on the wall in the entrance and give you an insight into what each one does for your body, therefore you can accommodate your evening to suit what your body needs most. I didn't know where to start because there was so much to choose from. I wanted to tell you a little bit more about some of my favourites I experienced.

The Rose Infused Steam Room creates emotional calm through aromatherapy whilst the steam releases impurities from the body. The temperature in here goes up to 55 degrees and leaves you feeling great.

I couldn't resist the Foot and Shoulder Massage Seat after seeing a clip of it on the spa's promotional video. Saltwater flows over your shoulders whilst your feet are being massaged by jets to relieve tension. When a lot of your job is spent walking and standing around it's exactly what your feet need.

Lavender is one of my favourite scents so I couldn't resist the Herbal Caldarium room. It's a hot environment that uses lavender aromas to purify the skin and calm the mind. The temperature in here goes up to 60 degrees. I found it incredibly warming and calming in this room as I closed my eyes and focused in on the subtle scents that filled the room.

Even though it was raining upon our visit I had to take myself to the spa's 2 Outdoor Hot Tubs for a dip. It was a lovely blend of warmth from the hot tub mixed with the refreshing raindrops and coolness in the air. I could imagine that this would be a spectacular place to be if it was a clear night!

After experiencing some of the Thermal Spa facilities we decided to head up to their Conversatory, a vast and comfortable lounging area where you can sit and natter with your friends whilst tucking into the light bite food offering that comes with your Evening Escape experience. Myself and Steph enjoyed dining on a Chilli Con Conne dish and a glass of bubbly to celebrate the weekend. The place felt extremely cosy with the lights dimmed and candles dotted around the place. One thing I wanted to mention was that our service for food and drink wasn't as prompt as we saw them with other guests, we waited 15-20 minutes before we were seen to but our food and drinks were prepared quickly after ordering. I couldn't resist a pudding afterwards as a treat and their chocolate ice cream was delicious!

After our bite to eat and natter over bubbly we decided to try more of the water therapies and saunas before deciding to head up to the Slumber Lounge. This room is exactly what it says on the tin, a play to unwind and slumber. The space is quiet and calm filled with relaxation beds and pods perfect for closing the eyes for a moment of meditation, or even better, sleep for a while. I noticed some people brought their books with them and made use of the blankets to really cosy up. This is was the perfect place to be to complete our experience at Eden Hall Spa.

Before departing I used their great shower facilities and their in-shower Elemis products before signing out and heading home. I couldn't believe how relaxed and refreshed I felt after leaving the Spa doors and I'll definitely be back for more in the future. The Evening Escape gave me time to pause, meditate and give my body some mind TLC. I would highly recommend a visit to this Spa in Nottinghamshire and I can't wait to go back.

The Evening Escape also has a menu of perfect taster treatments to complement your evening and these begin at £33! If you really want to treat yourself then you can do so with one of these treatments as a top up. You can find out more about the Evening Escape and other incredible deals available at the spa by visiting their website here.
