[AD] Degustabox April 2019 Review.

25 May 2019

AD – This box was gifted in return for this review.

Last month I sampled Degustabox for the first time and I was not disappointed with what they delivered to my door to try out. Degustabox* is an incredibly popular food and drinks monthly subscription box that enables its customers to try new products on the market!

For £12.99 per month including FREE delivery you can obtain 10 to 15 products in your box, all of which are a total surprise too! You never know what to expect from your Degustabox but it makes it all the more exciting when your box arrives full of goodies!

I was kindly gifted the May Degustabox which was themed as the Best of British and it was great. The box arrived in good timing and in excellent condition, care has clearly been taken into getting the products safely to their customers. I couldn't wait to see what I'd be trying this month

In this box we had 13 different products to try and there was definitely a few brands I hadn't heard of before, as well as brands I had been eager to get my hands on! I couldn't wait to get stuck in into this month's box and find some new favourites. In your Degustabox you are also provided with information on each individual product, especially if you are interested in finding out where you can purchase it from.

In my Degustabox was these products;

Although we've had the contents of this box for a month, we haven't been able to sample all of the products in time! Most of them are ideal for little trips away or as an added extra to your snacks throughout the day. I did definitely find some new products amongst the box I would definitely repurchase, but wanted to share my thoughts on the products I did try from the April box.

Candy Kittens Wild Strawberry - I have heard about the Candy Kittens quite frequently in the past so I was delighted when I saw I would be receiving a packet in the latest box. The gourmet sweets are free from gelatin and gluten, making it a great sweet product for vegetarians to enjoy. The wild strawberry sweets were packed full of flavour and I'll definitely be purchasing a pack from my nearest Tesco, Sainsbury's, Superdrug or Morrisons store.

Typhoo Black Tea - I love a good cup of tea and although I am usually a Yorkshire Tea fan, Typhoo Tea offers a great alternative! I have enjoyed making my morning brew with one of their teabags, no wonder it's been a much loved British Tea Brand since 1903!

Skinny Food Co Not Guilty White Chocolate Crispies/Milk Chocolate Crispies - I was quite excited by these products when they arrived, they sounded delicious and right up my street. I'll have to admit that these were quite disappointing overall. They had a powdery type texture to them which made them leave your mouth feeling ridiculously dry after eating them. I don't think I would purchase these again as I didn't find them satisfying unfortunately.

CRAFTED by Cracker Drinks Co Mango & Passionfruit - This drink was delicious! This fruit drink has no added sugar or sweeteners and it most definitely is a yummy soft drink to enjoy during the warmer days. The drink is packed in an environmentally friendly carton, which a resealable pack which is ideal if you are on the go. CRAFTED drinks also count as one of your 'five a day'. The texture of the drink is smooth and although it reminded me a lot of having a J20 drink, this had plenty more flavour and a better alternative!

Bull's-Eye NY Steakhouse Barbecue Sauce - We are already huge fans of this brand in our house and so to have another one in our collection is a blast! We love using these sources for our red meats, particularly if we're having a BBQ. Their sauces are packed full of flavour and never let us down!

Cheerios Multigrain - I'm always looking for a great breakfast food and Cheerios has been that for years. Cheerios Multigrain are made with 5 whole grains! Each cheerio is made with 5 whole grains, 7 vitamins, iron and calcium.

I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the products provided to me by Degustabox and it's something I would encourage people to explore more about.

  1. I've tried Candy Kittens a few times and I don't actually find them very sweet to be honest which is a shame for the ingredients.
